THE GLASS WEIGHT
A beautifully balanced bottle that’s weighted to reassure customers and retailers of it’s premium positioning.
Detail is everything, even the thickness and shape of the bottles opening has been designed for drip free drinking.
NECK AND LABEL
Our neck has been designed to make it much easier for bartenders to create some theatre without any drama. For consumers it’s much easier to hold and pour too. We’ve deliberately elevated the label to help it stand head and shoulders above other bottles on the bar or shelf.
The geology of the Peak District has a profound impact on our gins depth, aroma and flavour. We call this Ginology. It’s similar to the terroir of a wine. We’ve forged geological and botanical patterns together so they subtly hint at each gins unique botanicals.
THE EMBOSSED LOGO
Elegant, timeless yet modern with an integrated fault line and shiver effect so there’s no doubt about the origins of our gins.
THE SHIVER EFFECT
Not a bottle, but a memorable experience. We designed it so the mountain inside shivers as you walk past or rotate the bottle. Now our bottle has a story to tell and becomes a great conversation starter. Give our bottle a twist, you’ll see what we mean.
MOUNTAIN IN A BOTTLE
The iconic Mam Tor (Shivering Mountain) with its historic landslide sits proudly inside our unique bottle.
THE WIDE BASE AND TAPER
We deliberately created a wide base and tapered top so no other bottles or labels encroached on Shivering Mountain’s shelf space.
THE BASE COLOUR AND GRADIENT
Each gin uses a distinctive mountain colour to define its flavour and ingredients. The sprayed outer gradient brings the glass optics and shiver to life beautifully.
THE SHOULDER MESSAGE
‘Forged and Foraged for Peak Perfection‘ – this is our promise to everyone who buys or sells our gins.
We’ve hidden the mountains geographical coordinates on the base as a final piece of the journey and experience.
The Peak District National Park is a working park. It needs industry and it needs to evolve if it is to keep the local community resident within its borders. Shivering Mountain’s aim is to become the premier gin in the region – on the back of a local community’s passion. By employing locally, encouraging visitors into the Park and by contributing to the well-being of this amazing landscape it will help preserve the beauty of a magical land and its people.
